Did you get here from a link from a friend? To get access to the entire Understanding Modern Violence 40-day course, which is free, make sure you check it out HERE.

Welcome to the first lesson!

You should already have downloaded both the Human Combative Behaviour Manifesto and the slide deck PDF from the Welcome email. The Manifesto will keep you busy for a little while. We have really loaded you right up with information to absorb right from day 1.

There is no requirement to read those two documents prior to the next lesson appearing in your inbox. You may come across information in future lessons that seem to be assuming some knowledge. If that happens, it is probably because that information is contained within the Human Combative Behaviour Manifesto. So that may prompt you to read ahead.

Today though, we will be looking forward at what is to come. You will see the Understanding Modern Violence course is laid out in a progressive manner. The course starts with a fairly broad lense and we gradually narrow the focus down as we progress through the course.

You will get about two lessons delivered to you each week. This should keep you busy enough without taking over your whole life. This schedule will give you time to absorb the material as your schedule allows.

Below is what you can expect to see over the next 40 days.

In this lesson, we will explore long term violent crime trends so we have a full appreciation of what the situation is today.

In this lesson, we will be continuing our examination of violent crime but we will start to focus in and compare the different categories of violent crime in more detail.

In this lesson, we will be focusing our attention onto modern weapons. We will look at what modern weapons are most used to commit violent crimes and we will see what weapons are being in used in each violent crime category. This is in order to develop a robust understanding of how modern weapons are being used to commit violent crime today.

Day 17: CASE STUDY 1

In your first case study we will be looking at a knife attack.

Day 21: CASE STUDY 2

In this second case study we will be looking at a bottle assault.

Day 24: CASE STUDY 3

For case study three, we will look at a mugging with an elderly former pro wrestler involving cans of soup as improvised weapons.

Day 28: CASE STUDY 4

The final case study looks at a case of assault. This one will also look at a specific example of potential consequences of assault.

Day 31: FUSION 1 of 2

In this first of two lessons, we will start to fuse together the big picture information from the Human Combative Behaviour Manifesto with the lessons along the case studies. Specifically, I will walk you through the first 4 of 7 steps for how you can apply your recently aquired knowledge of modern violence so you can avoid violence (or at least minimise the risk).

Day 35: FUSION 2 of 2

In the second of two lessons we will continue on and I will walk you through the final 3 steps for applying knowledge to avoid violent crime.

In this lesson you will be on your own. You will be provided with some more case studies and left to determine key lessons learnt on your own. The cases have been specially curated where there is enough information to make some sound judgements. You will be in a much better position to do this now than at the beginning of the course.

As one journey ends another begins.

That's a Wrap

This brings us to the end of the introduction to Understanding Modern Violence. Hopefully you now have a better picture of what to expect. These descriptions are quite basic. As you delve into the material I trust you will be finding it quite eye opening, valuable and interesting.

Be sure to get started on the Human Combative Behaviour Manifesto and the slide deck.

You'll be hearing from me again soon.
