Rogers, 26, and Kimberly Richardson, 36, both of Detroit, were in a home in the 19200 block of St. Marys Street in Detroit at 6:15 a.m. Jan. 7 when they got into an argument with a male visitor who stirred chili that was cooking, then turned down the heat in an effort to keep it from burning.
Rogers demanded the man's wallet, according to a news release from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office. Prosecutors said when the man refused, Rogers beat him and stabbed him once in the thigh with a knife.
That's actually how easily violence can arise. Quite benign and everyday.
